Dickinson Center, Inc. has provided a continuum of mental health, intellectual disability, and Children's Prevention services in Northwestern Pennsylvania since 1958.

We are currently looking for Certified Peer Specialists. This position functions in the community, providing supportive services to individuals with a diagnosis of mental illness. In order to be in this position, the employee must meet the following criteria:

  • be at least 21 years of age.
  • be a self-identified individual who is in recovery from a Serious Mental Illness.
  • have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • have reliable transportation.
  • have a clean driving record which meets the standards of our insurance company.
  • within the last three years, maintained at least 12 months of successful full or part-time paid or voluntary work experience or obtained at least 24 credit hours of post-secondary education.
  • have completed a peer specialist certification training curriculum approved by the Department (We will enroll the selected candidates in this training).
  • Be able to obtain Act 33 (Child Abuse Clearance), Act 34 (State Criminal Record Check), and FBI fingerprint clearances through DHS.

DCI accepts applications for this position year-round; position availability is dependent upon the state training which occurs several times per year. Positions are usually part-time; schedules are flexible. Locations we serve are Elk/Cameron Counties, Potter County, Forest/Warren Counties.
