Dickinson, Inc. has provided a continuum of mental health, intellectual disability, and children's prevention services in Northwestern Pennsylvania since 1958. We are a progressive non-profit organization with just under 200 employees and an annual operating budget of nearly $10 million.

The Psychiatric Rehabilitation (PR) Worker is responsible for an individual caseload, facilitating recovery oriented activities, and completing paperwork/documentation to assist members in reaching the goals of their choice.

The PR Program assists people with long-term psychiatric disabilities with increasing their functioning level so that they can be successful and satisfied in the environments of their choice with the least amount of intervention.

The PR Worker monitors member's progress, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and follows policies and procedures that ensure the services delivered meet agency and regulatory standards.

The Crisis Worker is scheduled certain times on a monthly schedule, to be either Primary or Backup.  Crisis workers are responsible for managing requests for crisis intervention via the provision of telephone, walk-in, or mobile crisis services.  Any person experiencing an acute disturbance of mood, thought, behavior or social functioning may contact the Crisis program.  The Crisis Worker will complete an assessment and refer the person to the appropriate, least restrictive level of care.

This full-time position is for 40 hours per week, with the amount spent in each program varying weekly, based on the Crisis workload.


A Psychiatric Rehabilitation/Crisis Worker shall have one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree with academic concentration in an area relevant to the position
  • One year of work experience in the mental health field, providing direct care
  • CPRP certification preferred; must be obtained within 2 years of hire.

The qualified candidate will also be/have:

  • 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license
  • Driving record which meets the requirements of our Vehicle Fleet Policy
  • Reliable transportation, as the job requires use of the employee's personal vehicle
